Kaczmarek back with another US score

getlowPolish composer Jan A.P. Kaczmarek, who won the Oscar for his Finding Neverland score in 2005, hs composed the original score for Get Low, a drama from director Aaron Schneider (Two Soldiers) which will premiere at the Toronto Film Festival. Produced by Zanuck Independent and co-produced by Polish company TVN, the film tells the story about a man in a small town who is trying to solve an old murder case by planning his own funeral. The fine cast includes Bill Murray, Robert Duvall and Sissy Spacek. Kaczmarek regular Christopher Kennedy was the music editor on the project. Kaczmarek also recently scored two films by Swedish directors: Lasse Hallström’s Hachiko: A Dog’s Tale and horror movie The Horsemen by Jonas Åkerlund.

    Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
