barry_publicityLegendary composer John Barry will be in attendance and receive a brand new film music award, The Max Steiner Award, during the gala concert ‘Hollywood in Vienna’ at the Wiener Konzerthaus on October 14. The ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester will perform music by Steiner, Barry and others during the event, where other guests include Austrian composer Harald Kloser (who just wrote the screenplay, produced and composed the score for Roland Emmerich’s new disaster epic, 2012), composer Bruce Broughton (Silverado, Tombstone, Young Sherlock Holmes) conductors John Axelrod and Nicholas Dodd. The concert is already sold out. The concert follows a two day International Film Music Symposium featuring the above-mentioned guests as well as David Arnold talking about his music for the James Bond movies, Walter Werzowa (Cherry Falls, Hellraiser: Inferno, Mimic 2) and Matthias Weber (Crossover, Dead in 3 Days). The event also hosts a film music competition insituted to advance young Austrian composers.

2012 will be epic – music by fellow AUSTRIAN, Harlad Kloser!! Vocals by Adam LAMBERT are even more amazing. What a smash hit it will be.
Regards from an Austrian in Asia-

The 2012 score is fully loaded (not 30 seconds clips) in the German version of the Amazon website. And the cues can be downloaded, Real Player version with the Real Player Downloader is needed.

Make click in the titles of the tracks and when you click to play, comes out a logo it says “Download audio” you make click and you can download the track.

Does it says “Nicht verfügbar” which it means that it’s not available but the tracks are available. It’s got a low rate stereo audio but sounds great.
