merlin_2A second volume of music from the popular BBC fantasy TV series Merlin will be released in November by MovieScore Media. The label released composer Rob Lane’s music from the premiere season of the show last year, which was nominated for an International Film Music Critics Association Award for ‘Best Original Music for Television’. The new album features over 50 minutes of music from the second season, which currently airs on BBC. Music is, again, by Rob Lane and also by Rohan Stevenson, and performed by the Slovak National Symphony Orchestra conducted by industry veteran Allan Wilson. Also featured is The Philharmonia Chorus. Merlin, starring Colin Morgan and Bradley James, attracts over five million viewers in the UK every week. Other broadcasters who have Merlin featured in their schedules include NBC (USA), Canal+ (France), CTV (Canada) and RTL (Germany).

MovieScore Media releases the Merlin: Series Two album on iTunes on November 17 and on CD on November 24.

that’s great news – the first CD was epic and so far the music for the new series is even better.
