Zigman returns to ‘Sex and the City’ duties

_12604896428573Aaron Zigman, who wrote the score for the first theatrical feature film based on the popular TV series Sex and the City, is returning as the score composer on the upcoming sequel, which is scheduled to be released in May next year. All the stars from the first film return as well as the director, Michael Patrick King. Other key members in the musical team on Sex and the City 2 are music supervisor Julia Michels and producer Salaam Remi.

Zigman has announced a couple of other new assignments on his official web site, among them another Tyler Perry score for his Why Did I Get Married Too, a sequel to his 2007 feature (also scored by Zigman). Furthermore, Zigman is doing the music for The Company Men, a drama directed by John Wells and starring Ben Affleck, Kevin Costner, Maria Bello, Chris Cooper and Tommy Lee Jones.

Aaron Zigman is one of the most prolific composers in Hollywood, his average output in a year is six to eight feature films. Among his best known projects are The Notebook, Alpha Dog, Bridge to Terabithia, John Q, The Proposal and Good Luck Chuck.
