The film is directed by James Mangold, a director who has a habit of changing composers from project to project (before Powell, he has worked with Howard Shore on Cop Land, Alan Silvestri on Identity and Marco Beltrami on 3:10 to Yuma, to name a few).

Knight and Day tells the story about a fugitive couple who race across the world in an adventure filled with unexpected turns and twists. Additional stars in the film are Peter Sarsgaard, Maggie Grace and Paul Dano. New Regency produced for release via 20th Century Fox on July 2.

John Powell’s other upcoming films include Jonah Hex and the animated How to Train Your Dragon.
