If you haven’t heard of Calsey Hunt by now, then you’re clearly not a horror film fan. Hunt first broke into the film industry over a decade ago, trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and then went on to have a huge boom in the industry as a director and producer in the horror film category. With countless successful projects, and having worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, Hunt is well on her way to going down in the horror film hall of fame.
Hunt’s most recent film is Let Me Help You. This heart-stopping film is about the terrifying truth behind the dark web and human trafficking. Hunt also snapped up the Tasmanian actor Lilly Dennis to take the harrowing lead role of Rose. A woman who is unsuspectingly snatched into the world of human trafficking, and is faced with the reality that she must either fight for her freedom or succumb to the horror that has taken her. This sinister plot sets this film aside from your regular horror film and is set to be a fan favorite. Let Me Help You is based on true events from the midwest, and the disturbing human trafficking issue plaguing the area.
Dennis recently attended a Hulu event where she stated to ET Canada, “(Let Me Help You) was by far the most physically exerting project I’ve ever worked on. It took months of training, and the writer and producers were huge on the research because the film was based on a real story. I’m very excited for everyone to see it, a lot of work went into telling this story, and the end result is something I’m very proud to be a part of.”
Let Me Help You is set to be released at the end of this year.
